Polyarnye Zori is modern and cozy town. It is located in the south of the Kola Peninsula, between two lakes – Imandra and Pinozero. The town`s name is reminiscent of bright summer nights and mysterious polar auroras! Municipality`s area is about 1 000 square kilometers.
The town Polyarnye Zori was built together with the Kola NPP – the world`s largest nuclear power plant north of the Arctic Circle.
Through the town, pass important transit routes of the Russian North: railway «St. Petersburg – Murmansk», and Highway M-18. The nearest airports are located in Apatity (in 105 km distance) and Murmansk (in 220 km distance).
Population of Polyarnye Zori as at 01.01.2018 is 17291 people.
